Actress Sonakshi Sinha is quite excited about her upcoming project which is a remake of 1969 Rajesh Khanna-Nanda-starrer ‘Ittefaq’ as she eagerly waits for the shoot to start. The whodunit thriller, which has Sonakshi being paired with Sidharth Malhotra, also has the actress essaying a grey shaded character, for the first time. Speaking about the movie and her character, Sonakshi stated that, the novelty part of the script is what attracted her towards the project.
As for her own role, the actress says that, it is not completely based on Nada’s character from the original version, but will have parts of grey shades. She refused to go into the details as it would mean giving away the plot. The remake version goes on floors by February as Sidharth is busy completing his other projects.
Apart from the above movie, Sonakshi will be seen essaying the character of a journalist in her upcoming movie ‘Noor’, which is based on famed Pakistani writer Saba Imtiaz’s novel titled ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me’. The movie is being directed by adman Sunhil Sippy.
