It turns out that bubbly Kajal Aggarwal, the picture-perfect actress who has a flooring smile to boot, had go give up in starring in a few projects to take up the offer of heroine to pair up opposite ‘comeback’ Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi, a contemporary of superstar Rajinikanth and who has been in films right from the early eighties, served even as Union Minister in the past few years as he dabbled in politics. The 61-year old actor-politician, who is still fit as a fiddle, is making a comeback after many years with Kaidi No.150 (Telugu remake of Vijay’s Kaththi) which is all set to release during Pongal next week.
Directed by V.V. Vinayak, Anushka Shetty was the first choice of heroine opposite Chiranjeevi but the former couldn’t adjust her call-sheet dates given for the shoot of Baahubali 2. It was only later that the crew approached Kajal Aggarwal who was initially apprehensive in pairing up opposite an actor who was twice her age.
Ram Charan Teja, who had romanced Kajal Aggarwal in a few films including the super-hit Magadheera and who is also the producer of Kaidi No.150, spoke to Kajal and convinced her to pair up opposite his father. With an ‘U/A’ certiciate and a sizzling ‘item number’ by Raai Laxmi, Kaidi No.150 releases all over Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and other places as ‘Sankranti’ special on 13th January (next Friday).
