Bollywood’s high-profile heroine Anushka Sharma, the girlfriend of India’s Test cricket captain Virat Kohli, has shocked her fans and industry-wallaahs by saying that filmmaker Karan Johar touched her at ‘inappropriate places’ in the past.
Karan Johar had directed Anushka’s recent film Yeh Dil Hai Mushkil which created huge controversies due to the ‘intimate’ sequences in the film involving a young Ranbir Kapoor and a ‘senior’ Aishwarya Rai. The film, nevertheless, tasted success at the box-office. Karan, who hosts reality shows on TV, is also the anchor of ‘Koffee with Karan’, a popular show on a Hindi television channel.
Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are among those who had appeared on the show. Karan had revealed some time back that he felt ‘attracted’ towards Anushka during the making of Yeh Dil Hai Mushkil. Reacting to his remarks, Anushka said that though she was happy about the way Karan felt, she was thinking about filing complaints of ‘sexual abuse’ against him for touching her at ‘inappropriate places’.
Katrina came to her rescue, albeit in a lighter vain, by saying that Karan might have done so to ‘stimulate’ the fire in her. Anushka added that her contemporary actress Jacqueline Fernandez too faced such treatment from Karan Johar. Karan attempted to ‘douse’ or underplay the situation by stating that legal aspects could be taken care of latter. “What stands out is my love for both the girls,” he said.
