Actress Mahima Nambiar is obviously over the moon with the audiences’ response to her latest film Kuttram 23 which hit the screens across the State and elsewhere a fortnight back i.e. on 03rd March, 2017.
Directed by Arivazhagan of Eeram, Vallinam and Aarathu Sinam, the film has been lauded by critics and patronized to appreciable extent by audiences and Arun Vijay’s fans. Based on a novel by author Rajesh Kumar, the film has Thambi Ramaiah, Vamsi Krishna, Amit Bhargav, Suja Varunee and Misha Ghoshal in prominent roles. Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music and Bhuvan Srinivasan’s editing are of top-notch.
Mahima, the Saattai and Mosakutty girl, has landed up quite a few film offers in her kitty thanks to the success of Kuttram 23. With a handful of projects in Tamil, the talented Mahima is confident athat Tamil audiences would accept her as a long-term perspective. Mahima confesses that she was deeply moved by a music video Payanam which dealt with the social of child-marriage, still in vogue in some backward States.
Coming down hard on child sexual abuse and crime against women, Mahima said “It is indeed disturbing to come across childish-looking girls turn mothers due to sexual assault/exploitation. India is placed second in child-marriage in world, which is nothing to feel happy about. It ought to be eradicated from society by legal means,” Mahima says, her concern for the society coming out in the open!
