Director Mohan Raja after his successful cop action thriller Thani Oruvan is now directing Sivakarthikeyan. The film titled Velaikkaaran is rumored to be a cop story too.
The film is currently shot at sets erected in Prasad Labs and sources say that Sivakarthikeyan has never been seen in police attire. Instead he was seen wearing a Kaakhi shirt and essaying the role of a worker in mill.
Some worker-boss tussle sequences have been shot in the sets. Similarly, Superstar Rajnikanth’s blockbuster Mannan also had him essay the role of a mill worker and that is where Mohan Raja got the inspiration for his title, says a source. This film also features Fahadh Fasil, Nayanthara, Sneha, Prakash Raj, Thambi Ramaiyah and RJ Balaji in important roles. Produced by RD Raja’s 24AM studios, the film is slated for August release. Anirudh composes music for the project.
