Vijay fans are anxious due to the ongoing strike by Tamil Film Producers Council due to the additional entertainment tax implemented by Tamil Nadu government above the Goods and Service Tax. Ardent fans of Thalapathy Vijay have been asking theater owners and distributors on the release of Mersal but things can be confirmed only after the strike comes to an end.

Tamil Film Producers Council’s President Vishal has firmly said that no Tamil films will release until the local body tax gets abolished. But Mersal’s producer Murali Ramaswamy is confident that the strike will come to an end and Mersal will surely release for this Diwali.
