Actress Bhavana, who underwent a torrid Friday night last week when she was abducted and molested for more than two hours near Thrissur, has asserted that she won’t get back to work till the culprits are punished and justice is meted out to her.
The Chiththiram Pesudhadi, Koodal Nagar, Veyyil, Jayamkondaan, Deepavali and Asal fame actress, who has starred in more than 70 Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted from near the Airport and was reportedly molested by a gang of six persons who took terms to commit the heinous crime which came to light after she chose to lodge a police complaint soon after the incident.
Four of the accused have already been arrested and it is now suspected that one of the remaining two persons is probably close to a political VIP in the State. It has also been found out by the police that the entire ‘operation’ was done for a sum of Rs.50 lakhs which was to be paid to the culprits.
Bhavana has been urged by industry-folks to forget the incident and concentrate on films on her hands. However, the actress has announced that she won’t get back to resume the shoot of her films unless the police brings the cuplrits to book and awards punishment to them.
Prithviraj, who is to pair up opposite Bhavana in an upcoming film, has said that he spoke to the actress who appeared very determined that she won’t resume her career until all the accused are produced in Court and sentences awarded to them.
